Our Daughter's Education Fund

I am the father of an 18-year old high school senior. Her name is Asia. She will be graduating in 2021. I want to help her pursue her dream of getting degrees in performing arts and psychology. Unfortunately, in 2019 I was diagnosed with terminal blood cancer.


I am a part-time college teacher with no benefits or retirement. It will be hard enough to help Asia reach her goals by paying for college. When the cancer gets bad I don't know if I can afford that and pay for Asia's college, and still have enough for my wife's retirement. It is now a difficult time, with a very difficult time to come in the new year.

Asia has worked hard in HS, staying after school until 7:30 practicing dance and singing, and then staying up late doing her homework while my wife and I have long gone to sleep. She still takes time to work part-time at a restaurant, and help the elderly through a school program when she can on weekends. Asia has won an academic award, and has earned a 4.8 GPA. That doesn't get her enough scholarship money to get her through college with the coming medical expenses. If she had to come home after a year or two because of expenses it would be heartbreaking for her and for us.


For this reason, we have started this GFM plea—Our Daughter's Education Fund—to help with expenses. We truly hope to raise enough money to keep her in school, reach her goals, and dream I will be able to be there on graduation day. This is an unimaginable time for our family. We ask that you help us help Asia reach her goal of college graduation.
