Ezra Golmon Conquering Osteosarcoma

$6,806 of $25,000 goal

Raised by 41 people in 1 month
On 04/23/2019, eleven year old Ezra Golmon was diagnosed with metastatic osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. It was found in his right tibia, but has spread to his lungs as well.

His treatment plan will be a minimum of 37 weeks long which includes 3 months of chemotherapy followed by surgery and likely more chemotherapy.

While his body is responding relatively well to the first rounds of chemo, he has had high fever and trouble holding electrolytes which required him to be hospitalized longer.

The Golmons are a one income family of 7. Ezra has three brothers and one younger sister. Ezra is a young, vibrant boy full of life. He loves art, legos, comics, and superheros.

This campaign was created so that the Golmon family can focus on Ezra's treatment and healing with minimal financial stress. All funds will go towards Ezra's medical bills and living expenses.

Please help us reach our goal.

Most importantly, please don't forget to pray for him.  God Bless!

Thank you,
The Golmon Family & Friends

Ezra has finished 4 rounds of chemotherapy. We are on a 2 week break from treatment, but are currently back in the hospital due to Ezra’s high fever and low blood counts. He also has developed mouth & stomach sores which are a side effect of treatment. While in the hospital Ezra enjoys music therapy, art sessions, playing on the computer, and playing with the therapy dogs to pass the time.

We are eternally grateful to everyone who has prayed for Ezra and our family. We are also grateful to everyone who has donated towards his medical bills, given giftcards, or brought food. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

UPDATE: Ezra's hair began to fall out so he decided to shave his head. He has been wearing toboggans and we think he looks pretty cool. He also had his braces removed as chemo can cause mouth sores. There were several labs this week which all came back perfect! He’s felt great and has just been enjoying his time at home. Thanks be to God!

Today Ezra meets with his orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Montgomery. Then he will be admitted for the next round of chemo. They should get out on Saturday, if all goes well. This is a different drug than the one he received the first round.

Please pray for him to handle this round like a boss and to keep his spirits up. Thank you all so much for the thoughts, love and prayers.
