I envisioned helping my mother over 7 years ago when she declined to have my kidney. Today, 7 months after our transplant surgeries and doing extremely well, I have decided to raise awareness starting with our amazing country.
I will be biking from BC to Newfoundland and stopping at different locations to tell our story and raise the count for organ donor registrations and funding for future organ donors.
I strongly encourage people to become donors because one person can save up to 8 lives. My mother wasn't the only one waiting for a kidney, her hospital (St. Paul's) and Dialysis Clinic was packed every day with many others in her situation, young and old. They all have to wait somewhere between 5 to 10+ years to hopefully get a deceased organ. It means a lot to be able to do this for her and her hundreds of clinic/hospital friends that are still waiting for organs.
I need your help to begin this journey. I thank you in advance for your generosity and donations. Any extra proceeds that won't be used for the tour will be going to the Canadian Transplant Association.

J'ai imaginé aider ma mère il y a plus de 7 ans quand elle a refusé que mon rein. Aujourd'hui, 7 mois après nos chirurgies de transplantation et faire très bien, je l'ai décidé de sensibiliser à commencer par notre pays étonnant.
Je vais faire du vélo de la Colombie-Britannique à Terre-Neuve-et arrêter à des endroits différents pour raconter notre histoire et augmenter le nombre d'inscriptions de donneurs d'organes et de financement pour les donneurs d'organes futurs.
Je vous encourage fortement les gens à devenir des donneurs parce qu'une personne peut sauver jusqu'à 8 vies. Ma mère n'a pas été le seul à attendre pour un rein, son hôpital (Saint-Paul) et Clinique de dialyse a été emballé tous les jours avec beaucoup d'autres dans sa situation, jeunes et vieux. Ils ont tous à attendre quelque part entre 5 à 10+ ans pour obtenir, espérons un organe décédé. Cela signifie beaucoup pour être en mesure de le faire pour elle et ses centaines d'amis clinique / hôpital qui sont encore en attente d'organes.
