Raised by 11 people in 1 month
The EYEJ Impact 25 Youth Council is a group of 19 youth ages 15-25 from all across districts in Cleveland who together are brainstorming issues, injustices and challenges both they and their peers face in their community.

Together they created a recommendation for solutions specifically focusing on youth independency (life skills) and police – youth relationships and presented them to Chief Williams of the Cleveland Police, it’s Commanders and members of the Cleveland Indians April 30, 2018. This is in partnership with the Partnership for A Safer Cleveland and made possible by the Cleveland Indians Larry Doby Youth Fund.

Here is their presentation and recommendation that they would like to see implemented in the City of Cleveland.

Watch the We Are the Same Video  – presented at the presentation regarding their take on police and youth relationships.

See their recent press including 9 Plain Dealer articles/2 front pages.

The EYEJ Impact 25 Youth Council has been invited to go to DC July 18-20 to meet with Senator Sherrod Brown, Senator Portman and other government constituents to present their recommendations.  This trip will be covered by Press.  WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

***Please help in one or more ways:

#1: Please donate to help support the financial cost of their DC trip.  We promise to take many pictures, a video and stay focused to get their recommendations presented implemented.  The youth will present their recommendations to Sherrod Brown, Senator Portman and other government constituents.
#2: Please simply sign this petition to support their recommendations.
#3: Write a letter to the City of Cleveland, blog "Dear Cleveland," create a video and/or post a social media post #EYEJYouthSpeaks of your personal support of the EYEJ Impact 25 Youth Council and their recommendations for improvement of youth safety in the City of Cleveland.  Please send them to hello@eyej.org
#4: Share this campaign with your friends, family, teachers, churches and/or community!
#5: Attend, play or donate at our VolleyFest hosted by the EYEJ Millennial Board!

Thank you for your support.  We believe that we are ALL responsible, and it takes a village to bridge together to create positive change.

Thank you,
The EYEJ Impact 25 Youth Council
