Hope and Help For Javi

$13,430 of $100,000 goal

Late Sunday night early Monday morning Javi suffered what doctors believe was a brain aneurysm. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance and underwent emergency surgery to relieve the pressure from the bleeding in his brain. Hes being kept heavily sedated and breathing via ventilator until his swelling has stopped and the blood has been drained from his brain. This was sudden and unexpected for all of us. Sunday he was normal and happy spending the day with our family at the aquarium just hours before this tragedy. Although he’s being heavily sedated which is helping him remain stable, doctors are still unable to determine what caused this and will need more testing and scans to gather more information. For now, we are sure that he currently has a blood clot in his brain the size of a clementine and because of this it could take days for it all to be drained out. They’re planning another surgery in the near future.
This is an extremely rare case due to his age. We ask that you please send us all your prayers, love and support.
Due to Javi being uninsured, we’re asking for your help in his time of need. Anything would be appreciated.

Much appreciated

Sadly just after midnight Sunday March 3rd Javi went to Rest In Peace with God.
He’s always been a fighter and he fought hard until the end.
He leaves behind all of his loving family, his mother, his amazing wife and “partner for life” Ilyana, his daughter Juliette and their unborn child.
We are all grieving and doing the best we can through this difficult time. We appreciate your continued donations to help us with his immense medical expenses and his funeral costs.

Funeral details will be shared once arranged and we ask that donations be made and/or given in person (cash or check) in lieu of flowers.

Thank you all for holding space for us during this time.

Rest in Love Javi

He is more delicate today. His wife Ilyana is thinking we let him rest for a bit with no visitors so he can rest and calm down. The CT scan this morning made a lot of things rise. His heart rate is at 125-130 right now, fever 101.6, blood pressure is up and they said his breathing is really fast making him do a lot of work causing pressure on his brain.
His oxygen level is ok but was better before so he is now needing more assistance from the ventilator..
Ilyana asked one of javi’s nurses last night if he had pneumonia because after a meeting earlier that day one of his doctors said “we found fluid in his lungs which is not normal” but did not mention pneumonia or treatment. The nurse confirmed he did have pneumonia and that they were and are giving him antibiotics to treat it.
They did a chest X-ray this morning as well to check his lungs as well and we will have results later.

Please keep Javi and our family in your prayers and continue to share his story.

We appreciate all of you and we are so grateful for your support during this time.

Tomorrow is the last day of if the estimated peak of javis brain swelling. This time is extremely critical. The pressure from the bleeding on his brain is critically high even with the drain in place. Please continue to pray for a miracle and send your positive vibes. We are so grateful for all of your donations. Please continue to share his story and this link to help with javis medical bills as well as his young family. Ilyana found out while here at the hospital with Javi that she is carrying his 2nd child. This is a blessing Javi really wanted so we’re praying he makes it through so he can see his new baby.

Love from all of us.
