As you know the approaching holidays mean fun times with family and friends, parties, giving and receiving presents or sitting by a warm and cozy fire. Imagine if you were sleeping outside on a flattened cardboard box as your mattress … Worried about being robbed, raped or killed as you sleep… Waking up hungry and not knowing where the next meal is coming from… Walking for hours in cold temperatures wearing tennis shoes with holes… Your dirty, smelly, thin, and torn clothes don’t keep you warm from the freezing cold… and you haven’t had a hot meal or shower in weeks.

Not a pretty picture, but that is the reality for the hundreds of desperate, discarded, and homeless this holiday season.
