On the morning of August 4th, the lives of the Droski family were forever changed. Ted was involved in a horrible accident that resulted in the amputation of his right leg, along with grievous injuries to his remaining leg and low back.

Those of us who know Ted and his family also know how extremely active he was within the running community. He helped with the local school's track and cross country teams, and ran many races himself, especially in the name of charity. It was extremely important to him as well as a way to bond with his daughters, Aislinn and Kylie. He has taken part in numerous races including the Chicago marathon and most resently a 5k run only two days before the accident. Running was a source of solace for Ted, not only physical, but mental as well. So, you can imagine, this loss of limb has a particularly heavy impact.

Ted and his loved ones have a long and difficult journey ahead of them. But we also know how strong and determined this family is. Now it's time to do our part to help with this transition period.  Please contribute what you can. Anything helps. Together we can help Ted battle back from this adversity and run again.
