I am standing in the 2019 local elections as the Social Democrats' candidate for the Clonakilty-Skibbereen area.
I believe the people of Ireland want real change and to do this, change must start at a local level.
As your local representative I will fight vigorously for:
Housing
Accessibility for older and disabled people
Supports for small businesses
and protection of our rich environment.
These are just a few of the issues I am passionate about.
I am a disabled woman with two children who have inherited my condition. I am renting through the HAP scheme and I live on disability. My family and I have had to travel abroad to access healthcare at great expense. So, I believe that I am very different from the usual demographic of County Councillors. I relate and empathise with those who are really struggling in Ireland. I know what works and what doesn't.
Women and particularly women with disabilities are extremely underrepresented in politics and I want to change this.
So, if you think I am the best person to represent you, then please consider contributing to my campaign. Whatever you can afford would be greatly appreciated.
The funds raised will go toward canvas cards, leaflets, and posters for the campaign.
