Every Child Needs A Family

Donation protected
Every child needs a bed to sleep in and a family to tuck them in.  That’s why I’m fundraising for special needs Liberian children.  PLEASE help me raise $1,000 for each of eight (8) Liberian special orphans cared for by Americans for African Adoptions, Inc. (AFAA), a non-profit organization caring for African orphans since 1986.

Some of my friends who, like me, have been adopted, say they were “lucky” to be adopted. For me, being adopted was a blessing from God.  One of my friends says “God gives the hardest things in life to the strongest people.”  I was found malnourished on the streets of Ethiopia before I was taken in by AFAA. My life changed then – I was fed, clothed, had a warm bed and I was loved by the dedicated foster mothers at the Ethiopian/AFAA Home.

My family stays in contact with Cheryl Carter-Shotts, the AFAA  Founder and Managing Director.  AFAA works with Liberian orphans, especially special needs orphans. Cheryl has always been drawn to special children. AFAA has found good families for healthy African children but also for some children who have Cerebral Palsy, spina bifida, major burns, TB of the spine, facial deformities, polio, clubfeet, were blind, deaf, mute, had polio, heart problems, Hepatitis B, were HIV+ and one girl who picked up a land mine. All were placed with special families who care for them and make sure they are tucked into their own bed at night.

PLEASE help me help eight (8) special needs Liberian children AFAA cares for.  Please donate to Americans for African Adoptions, Inc. and help children, who unlike me, have Cerebral Palsy and who need a family and their own bed.  $1,000 for each of the eight (8) children will go towards the fees related to International Adoption.
