Hi Everyone,
In April 2019 I am going to be doing the Everest Hike. Anyone that knows me well knows that this is going to be very challenging for me and I will be training hard to be in the best shape so I can complete the trek.
What is going to keep me going is the cause that I am raising money for. Help for Heroes is an amazing charity that helps service men/women cope with life once they come back from serving their country. They risk their lives everyday and sometimes come back as broken individuals mentally and physically. They do this so we can sleep easy at night. They leave their families behind and give up celebrating any Christmas's, births, anniversaries etc. I have the upmost respect for service men/women and I think if they can be brave and courageous then I should strive to be more like that too.
Please help support me and raise as much as we can for Help for Heroes as the money does go to a good cause. Today, seven people will be medically discharged from the Armed Forces and their lives will change forever. In an instant, these highly-trained individuals will lose the camaraderie, purpose and career which has been their life.
Help for Heroes provide recovery and support for the Armed Forces community whose lives are affected by their service, no matter when they served. Their aim is to empower Veterans and Service Personnel to look beyond illness and injury. Every penny we raise, facility we run and activity we offer is to help Veterans and Service Personnel reach their potential, regain their purpose and have a positive impact on society.
