Donate to Australian bushfire relief

While we’re more than 15,000 km away here in Amsterdam, it’s impossible to ignore the devastating bushfires that have ravaged Australia over the last few months—the numbers are staggering:

·       10.3 million hectares of iconic landscape have burned
·       Over 3,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged
·       28 people have been killed, including 4 firefighters
·       One billion animals have perished
·       400 million tons of carbon dioxide has been emitted

Unfortunately, Australia is only halfway through its summer season, meaning the country could be months away from any sort of relief. That’s why it’s imperative that we contribute however we can. To play our part, we've created this GoFundMe page to collect donations from EVBoxers. EVBox will gather all donations, and then contribute 5.000€ on top. The total will then be distributed equally between the below organizations
 
OneTree Planted 
Once the wildfires have ceased and the soil is ready for plantation, OneTree Planted expects to plant up to 6 million native trees across Australia in 2020 thanks to generous donations. This will help to repair the countries beautiful and iconic landscape, and much-needed habitat for the wildlife.  

Wildlife Victoria 
Donations to the Wildlife Victoria - Victorian Bushfire Appeal will be distributed to wildlife shelters and carers in Victoria to help rebuild enclosures and equipment that they have lost in the fires so that they can continue their lifesaving work, and support those that are struggling to cope with the enormous number of animals that will need care in the coming weeks and months.

St. Vincent de Paul Society Bushfire Appeal (NSW) 
Donations to Vinnies will provide food, clothing, essential items and grocery vouchers for people who have lost everything, pay unexpected bills as people work through the recovery process, make referrals onto a range of other organizations providing crisis accommodation and specialized services, and give much-needed emotional support, as well as practical assistance to pick up the pieces after homes are lost.

·       You can donate as a guest or as GoFundMe user. Your personal data (name, last name, email, country, and zip code) and billing data will be processed by GoFundMe. We cannot access this information, so we cannot track any transactional data. Please read and accept their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
·       You can donate under your own name or anonymously
·       Only the EVBox employee managing the GoFundMe page can see your name and the amount donated if you decided to do it anonymously on the GoFundMe page itself. He or she will not do this of course and won't keep a record!
