Ethel's Medical Bills Fund

I am a known sickle cell patient . On a recent visit to America earlier this year, I got sick with acute chest syndrome, the day after my arrival.

I was admitted into hospital for emergency treatment which entailed blood exchange and other therapies. In total, I spent over a week in the hospital. 

My trip was for leisure and as such had not planned to be sick! The hospital treated me in good faith without medical insurance due to the severity of my illness.

6 weeks ago, The total medical bill for my treatment and hospital stay was sent to my friend's house where I was meant to stay for the planned break. It comes to a whopping equivalent  of £25,000.

This is not an amount I can afford to repay based on my income. I would be very grateful if you would consider a donation to my cause so I can pay off this bill.  It is a desperate situation because  my friend whose address I used for the paperwork during the hospital admission is now being harrassed by said hospital with threats of lawsuits.
