Etchart Ranch Thomas Fire Replant

The Thomas Fire has affected innumerable lives and families, and my entire heart goes out to every single person who has been affected; you are all so incredibly resilient and I am in awe at how our community has come together to support each other.
Etchart Ranch has been in our family since 1942. I am part of the 4th generation to stand in this orchard, to care for it, and to love it.
On Tuesday December 12, my dad and I stood on our land and watched the fire moved into the Matilija Canyon, and over the hill, onto our ranch. 387 of our beloved citrus trees were lost in the fire, and we have come to find out that insurance is going to cover nothing; no hoses, no trees. I am so, so aware that this is small in comparison to the stories of those who lost their homes or furry family members, but this orchard is extremely important to us, and I believe that my purpose in life is to help this land flourish, and nourish this incredible town. And to do this, my family is asking for help. Any small donation you could make would help us replant the orchard we were raised in, by helping to repair and replace irrigation hoses, and get new trees into the ground.
