Life Beyond Domestic Violence

PLEASE HELP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS GET BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women and is a widespread problem in Georgia and throughout the United States. Women who are abused often have physical and emotional difficulties that make it challenging for them to participate fully in their communities.

The Grady Nia Project offers comprehensive behavioral health services to help women who have been abused heal.  Our mission is to empower abused, suicidal African American women to access behavioral health services, find a new sense of purpose, lead more meaningful lives, and affirm their commitment to living a violence-free life. To achieve this mission, our compassionate and culturally competent team members provide group and individual therapy services and facilitate community referrals and partnerships.

At the request of the women, we are expanding our services to support the women, many of who are homeless and have few resources, in re-integrating into their communities. We need your financial assistance so we can provide effective programming that enables women who are healing from abuse to further their education, volunteer their services, become gainfully employed, and give back to their communities.

The goal of the Domestic Violence Awareness Month Go Fund Me Campaign is to raise $3000 for Community Re-Integration Programming for Abused Women through the Grady Nia Project (http://bit.ly/22hdWEP). Please join our efforts to empower and celebrate these survivors. We would be most grateful for your contribution, small or large.

Thank you!
