For most of you who know our mom, you know that she is the last person to ask for any help but the first person to offer. Which is why creating this go fund me page is difficult, as we never thought we would be in a place where we would need to be on the receiving end of others generosity.

Our mother's devotion to helping others knows no bounds, whether it is through volunteering with the Fair Lawn Ambulance Corp., arranging meals for those who are home bound, opening her home to those in need of a place to stay or extending herself financially or physically to help no matter the circumstances.

Our mom's medical journey began almost three months ago when she rose one evening with shortness of breath. She was rushed to the hospital and after several days was told her heart was not working at its proper capacity. Our mom began seeking the advice of the top cardiologists in the country and their hope was to be able to do a surgical procedure to her heart that would solve the issue.  Being a strong independent woman, she continued working at both her jobs to ensure that she would be able to support herself through the procedure and the recovery.

Last Thursday, November 9, 2017, she began experiencing severe shortness of breath and was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors noticed she was in shock and her body was shutting down. They performed an emergency procedure and placed a temporary heart pump in order to stabilize her.

Once she came through this procedure, the doctors informed her that her critical state has made the original plan obsolete and the only step is to move directly to a heart transplant. Not only is this a shock to her and our family, but it means that she will be out of work for much longer than anyone could have imagined.

Friends and family have been calling to ask how they could help and support. After much thought, my brothers and I realized that providing her with a sense of financial security and stability would offer her the peace of mind to focus on her recovery, which resulted in us deciding to create this page.

Our hope is to the raise some funds to assist with her living and medical expenses and to be able to give her the peace of mind during her recovery. From the bottoms of our hearts, we thank you all for any donation you give and hope to one day be able to give back to each and every one of you.

Our mother was released from the hospital on Thursday after receiving a mechanical heart pump, which is a bridge to get a heart transplant. After a couple more tests she will be listed.

It has been a few days since our last update. My mom is still dealing with tremendous pain and rehab. Over the past few days the doctor had been trying to balance her pain medication, water retention and other meds in order to begin to wean her off all of her drips. All the while, suffering through new pains each day.

She is a fighter but is still in need of our tefillos (prayers) and our assistance. Please continue to share, post and like this as we continue to inch closer to our goal. Your assistance and care has already made such an impact and can only grow.

Thank you,

Sarah, Ahron and Jordan

Thank you to all of those who have donated. The support has truly uplifted our spirits in this time of need.

As an update, my mother has gone through her 4th surgery in 5 days yesterday as her current pump was not sufficiently supporting her heart. The doctor's feared that they had to immediately remedy the situation, as waiting for a transplant who be disastrous.

Mom went through the surgery and is now in recovery. her recovery will be rigorous and painful. Once completed, she will be going home to continue her recovery accompanied by 27 different medications to add to her daily routine.

Please continue to share and spread this campaign and we try to create a stress free space for my mother to heal as she prepares for another major surgery in the form of a heart transplant.

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,

Ahron, Sarah, and Jordan
