As many of you are aware (sorry to the people I have not told yet), I am going on the Emmanuel School of Mission in October this year. The Emmanuel School of Mission (ESM) is in the Bronx in New York City. It  offers new evangelization formation to young men and women in the Catholic Faith.

The ESM  invites you to become a Roman Catholic missionary leader, by participating in compassion outreach to the poor in the South Bronx, as well as evangelizing on the street and in parishes in various states of the U.S.

Some Info on the ESM:

The ESM is based on 4 pillars:

1).SPIRITUAL LIFE (Daily Mass, adoration and retreats)

2). INTELLECTUAL FORMATION
(Classes in Scripture, Theology, Philosophy, Apologetics, Sacraments, Moral Theology, Anthropology, Marriage and Family, Church history and more. (At the end we receive a certificate from the Pontificate Lateran University, Rome).

3). COMMUNITY LIFE (Living with people of different nationalities).

4). THE MISSION/
(Including street evangelisation and evangelisation in schools, pubs, parishes. We also meet the poor and homeless of NYC and do work with the Missionary Sisters of Charity).

I have been praying for a while now for God to show me what is next in my life whether it be further study, a mission trip, or whatever be the will of God that He would help me to realise what it is and have the grace to say yes. Everything in regards to the ESM has fallen into place so far. As a result, I ask first and fore most that you could keep me in your prayers. Further to this, the cost of the ESM New York is $20,000, which includes all living expenses, retreats, mission trips and World Youth Day 2019. I would be very grateful if you might consider sponsoring me in any way to help financially in this exciting endeavor. I would be eternally thankful for any amount of money that you would be willing and able to contribute, whether this be a once off donation or an ongoing donation for the nine months that I am over there. I pray that the guidance of the Holy Spirit will lead me to where I am meant to be, to strengthen me in my Faith and to use me as an instrument to lead thirsting souls to our Lord!

Many thanks in advance for your prayers and support,

Teresa

Hey everyone!

I am SO CLOSE to reaching my goal in funding this year!

I am very thankful to all the people who have supported me so far either in their prayers or financially.

This year of mission has already been very fruitful and I know that it will keep giving after I finish.

If you are able to help me reach my final goal that would be amazing!

We have a big mission coming up in California soon which is exciting!

Thank you again for your help, I am very appreciative that you have made this year possible.

God Bless,

Teresa

Hello friends,

Wow! Its been a crazy couple of weeks! We just came back from a mission in Minneapolis St Paul. It was a jam-packed week. We went to 3 different high schools and ran a retreat for 150 Sophomores, 100 Seniors and 30 students who are doing their Confirmation. We also went to a couple of open houses and gave our testimonies, helped the parish with music for the Ash Wednesday Mass, sang for a funeral of a member of the Emmanuel Community who passed away and visited some refugees. We also got to visit the biggest Mall in America and got to play in the SNOW (including going sledding). I have never seen so much snow in my entire life and the first day it was -20 c.

We were welcomed by some more beautiful and generous host families to whom we are very thankful. It was a long week preceeded by many many hours of mission preparation but it was totally worth it.
I pray that God planted seeds in the hearts of all the students and people that we met.
Now we are back to our studies and normal routine in the Bronx.

Thank you for your continued support!

God Bless,

Teresa

Hola friends,

I just arrived back from Costa Rica and Panama!

I am still processing this experience and will be for a long time.
We flew into Costa Rica for a 4 day Emmanuel Youth Forum that took place before WYD.
It consisted of 300 young people from Peru, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Chile, Germany, London, Canada, Mexico and France.
We had daily Mass, Praise, adoration, Catechesis, sharing groups ect.... and we ran some of the workshops.

We then took a bus to Panama and 24 hours later we arrived, fully expecting to be sleeping on the floor in a school. Well, God had other plans! We were very quickly shown to a family who would host us for the week! They were so beautiful and even spoke English( something that surprised me after being in Costa Rica where everyone spoke Spanish).

WYD consisted of seeing Papa Francisco up close at least 4 times, helping animate one of the English Catechesis for 3 of the mornings, going to the Opening Mass, the Vocation Fair, a Focus event (and seeing Bishop Barron live), VIP entrance to the Panama Canal (thanks to our host family), the closing Vigil, plus more.
We also got to hang out with the Australians during the Vigil (on Australia day, how awesome)!

I feel deeply touched and inspired by all the people that I met along the way. They taught us something and we taught them something and we touched each other lives along the way!

I am excited for what the last 5 months holds. We have missions coming up in Minneapolis and California.

Thank you for all your prayers and your continued support!

God Bless,

Teresa

ESM update!

Greetings from New York!
2 months on and wow so much has happened! I feel like I have hit the ground running and haven't stopped but I am so thankful to be here!
From street evangelisation (even when its -2 degrees), to helping feed the poor with the Missionaries of Charity, to studying and living in community, life never gets boring (to name a few things that we have done)!
We even had the first snow fall of the season a couple weeks ago and I was about as excited as a 5 year old.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to be here. Life is good!
I am also very thankful to everyone who has supported me and would be very appreciative of any further support.

God Bless,
Teresa
