Erin Murphy's Surgery Funds

This year my son and I lost our health insurance. I filled out a new application that got denied. While waiting on the third application-- paying mine and my son's doctors visits out of pocket-- I was informed by my obgyn that I needed to have a colposcopy done. A couple of weeks ago, they called to inform me that they did find some "severe precancerous cells" and that it appears worse than they thought. I need a LEEP procedure done immediately. They will put me under local anesthesia in the hospital, get rid of the cells, and take a sample to make sure it hasn't spread to anywhere else. I'm having it done on Monday, Nov. 19th only if I can pay for it.

I know this is very short notice. I've been trying to get insurance to speed up the process but have still not been approved. I've been trying to avoid turning to donations this whole time but I feel I have no choice. Mine and my family's funds are all tapped out from paying for doctors office visits these past six months. If you know me, you know the last thing I want is a pity party or to ask people for money. What I know is that I have family and friends that love me and if they see this, might be willing to help me out. This is what I want for Christmas: to be healthy for my family. Especially my son.
