Erik Laimonis Memorial Fund

Hello and thanks for taking the time to learn about Erik Laimonis. Erik, 15, was taken from us on May 1, 2019 after a tragic car accident on his way home from baseball practice. His departure, like any child’s, was way too soon and has left a large empty hole in the hearts of his friends and family.
Erik was a freshman at Fowlerville High School where he excelled at academics and was beginning to show an interest in FFA and physics. Not a surprise, since Erik had long been pushing the boundaries of physics and defying the rules that regulate our physical world. Erik was no friend to gravity and held such disdain for it that he was considering piloting as a career choice. He intended to take some pilot introduction courses over the summer and enjoyed his first commercial flight just a few weeks ago.
In addition to his borderline suspicious academic ability, Erik took great pleasure in sports and competing against anyone that was willing. He was a proud member of the Fowlerville junior varsity soccer and baseball programs and greatly enjoyed the camaraderie of his teammates.
In a final act of awesomeness, Erik had independently decided that he would check the organ donor box when applying for his drivers permit. His gift of life to others in need is a direct reflection of how caring and selfless he was in life and should serve as an inspiration to us all.
Any donations blessed upon us shall be used to support the Fowlerville soccer and baseball programs. Erik would have wanted to help his teammates in any way possible.
