Eric's "Make A Wish" Dream

Eric is a 17-year-old from Conover, Wisconsin who has a very rare kidney disease. He was contacted by the Make-A-Wish organization and his only request was to have his family together for Christmas. His parents, Babette and Huey, have been working on their old farm home, trying to get it ready for the holiday season, but there is still much more that needs to be completed. The "Brushed with Kindness" program was contacted to help Eric get his family together in the farmhouse by Christmas. Please assist us in raising money for building costs to help Eric's dreams come true!
Eric was diagnosed in 2004 with a very rare kidney disease (not cancer). Over the past year, it has progressed to the point that he does 15-hour IV infusions, along with taking oral medications, 4-5 times daily. He has undergone 5 surgeries since January to implant infusion ports/tunneled catheters for him to run his IV's. He recently spent 16 days in the hospital when he developed sepsis and multiple pulmonary embolisms in his lungs and blood clots. Once his body has had some time to recover, he will be going back to the hospital to have another port implanted in his chest. This will include several more weeks of recovery time at home.
