Eric Joering memorial fund

We lost a very dear friend, father, husband, Officer today.  I would like to raise funds for his wife and 3 girls to help with expenses during these sad times.  I have attached his memorial below.  Eric was one of the nicest guys I have ever met.  He cared deeply for his family.  Anything you could give to help lighten the burden for Jami and her girls would be greatly appreciated. In an effort to ensure our donators that their funds are going to the right place and that I am not a scam, since there has been sick sick people doing this, I wanted to first let everyone know how I know the Joering’s. I coached miss Elena in travel Softball. During that time I became close friends with Eric and Jami and of course there super awesome girls Eva, Elena and Ella. I am raising these funds to help lessen any financial burdens Jami may face in the near future.


It is with very heavy hearts that we report to you that Police Officer Eric Joering of the Westerville Police Department (Ohio) was shot and killed in the line of duty on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Officer Joering and Officer Morelli were both shot and killed when they responded to a 911 hangup call in the 300 block of Crosswind Drive. Both officers were shot as they arrived at the scene of the call. Officer Joering died at the scene. Officer Morelli was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later. The subject was arrested at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, both blood and blue, as well as Officer Joering’s K9, Sam. R.I.P. Officer Joering, we thank you for your service and promise to never forget your sacrifice. Please keep a vigilant watch over your brothers and sisters in blue from the streets of Heaven.
