Volunteering in the Philippines

I am a second year nursing student studying at the university of Chester. Within the second year of this course we have been given the amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to carry out an over seas placement. This placement will be carried out in May 2020 and will give us the opportunity to experience the variations between healthcare systems. I am embarking on this adventure with my friend Alice Hesketh and we have chosen to complete this placement in the Philippines
This is an amazing opportunity for us to experience the culture and health care differences within our chosen country. We will be volunteering our time to work along side healthcare professionals of all fields of nursing for 3 weeks.  Within these 3 weeks we will be aiding individuals and their local community, offering help wherever is needed.

We will be working with a company called Work The World who will facilitate this experience for us and guide us through our placement. 

As you can imagine this once in a lifetime opportunity has a cost, we are reaching out to our family and friends for any donations, that would make this trip possible. We appreciate everyone’s support and are so thankful for any donations made.
