Epping Scouts Boatshed Development

We are excited to be able to update the progress with our project!  With the receipt of a Commonwealth Grant we have been able to begin our project; however this is still a long way to go. 

We have begun work repairing our existing slab and even poured our new slab so the ground work has begun.  We are excited to watch the structure continue to take shape over the coming weeks and months!

Epping Scouts is a vibrant Scouting group in Northern Sydney.  The group is one of the oldest in Australia, having formed in 1915.

The group have had a boatshed in Meadowbank since 1939, used for sailing and canoeing activities by local scouts. The current building dates from 1977 and is in need of renewal.

The group is seeking community and government assistance with the extensive costs of updating and redeveloping the boatshed, so that it can continue to be used for education and recreation by local scouts.

The DA (development application) for our boatshed redevelopment was approved in late 2018, so we look forward to seeing progress in 2019.
