Start an LGBT Halfway House
I have found a hotel in Limon, it is pretty cheap, but will need a lot of work. So much that no bank will loan to me, so I have to pay all in cash.
The hotel itself is 30K and it will take maybe 30K in repairs, (maybe even more)
I want to take this hotel and turn it into a charity/non profit, a halfway house for the LGBT community. I want to be able to offer gay teens a place to live if they have issues with their family when they come out, instead of ending up homeless. It is in a small town between Kansas and Denver, and it will offer a place for people who need to get started. There is a large truckstop near by as well, and I am working with the management to help find these people jobs.
So right now, I am just looking for assistance getting this up and running so i can help the community.
Everything I get will go into getting this up and running, and there will be a full record of everything I spend and where everything goes to get it up and running.
I am putting this back out there in case anyone wants to help me fix fire damage to the hotel
I am working on electric and plumbing, but I have also gotten 3 illustrated books complete (not kids books, illustrated)- and all profits from these books are going to building this halfway house
There are 2 sections to the hotel, one that is living quarters and one that is the hotel side of things.
The living quarters has its own seperate gas, electric and water, while the hotel has its shared water, gas and electric.
To fix the hotel electric will be about 3000, and we didnt even worry about the plumbing.
To fix the plumbing in the living quaters will be about 2000, and we are still looking into the electric so I need to get a second inspection there as well.
So right now my main focus is to get the plumbing and electric fixed up in the living quarters and make that the priority, and then i can move on to the rest of the rental hotel parts.
But i am also getting the electric turned on tomorrow so I can finally start getting out there and building and the like.
And then I am going to start addressing the plumbing
