Hello fans, family, and friends!
My name is Envy T. Debeauté, and I am one of ten contestants vying for the title of Miz INDYPROV 2019!
Miz INDYPROV is a fundraising pageant, which means the performer who raises the most funds is awarded the title and opportunity to reign for the next year. My goal is to win this title to give representation to Bloomington drag and The Back Door up in the Indianapolis area!
How can you help? That’s simple, DONATE! Indyprov is a non-profit organization, so your donations go towards spreading the art of improv and comedy to those who may not have access to those resources usually. Also, Indyprov donates their time and additional funds to multiple queer-friendly business throughout Indianapolis!
How does this help me? The winner of the Miz Indyprov pageant is guaranteed bookings at the RuPaul’s Drag Race shows monthly at the Athenaeum Theater. This allows me to network with past contestants in hopes of making it onto the show some day while also helping me travel and make a name for myself outside of Bloomington! I’ve had the privlege of being brought up as an entertainer in a radical queer space, and I would love nothing more than to take those teachings with me to help educate the queer community and make it more accepting of all members, regardless of race, orientation, or identity.
I assure you that I am not just asking for a handout. I am regularly selling my Envy T. Debeauté chocolate bars at local events, and a portion of my tips from my weekly show, Envy’s Open Stage, have been going towards the fundraiser as well. Your donation could help further solidify a win for me!
