Energy for All promotes access to energy as a prerequisite for the protection of human rights.

Utilità Manifesta supports the right of access to energy as a tool for human rights protection and preservation of the planet and adheres to the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All , promoting the design contest Energy for All.


The project
Transforming an obstacle into an opportunity

The aim of the project is to develop solutions for the part of the world without electricity.
Health , water and food security, education, employment, efficiency of communication systems and any other field in which the protagonist man are closely dependent on access to energy and the use made "‹"‹of it.
In this regard, the concept of sustainability becomes crucial for generating change, growth and development, respect for life and opportunities of the environment.


WHY this Project?
Becouse talk about energy is to talk about life

"Eradicating energy poverty is a moral imperative", said Maria Van der Hoeven, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, speaking of the denial of the right to education for children living in the absence of light.
Even the WHO World Health Organization refers indoor pollution created by burning biomass for cooking and defines it as a cause of many of the 2 million premature deaths a year derived from pollution.

The General Assembly of the United Nations, by resolution 65/151, supports the urgency of addressing the serious problem of energy poverty, making energy a resource available to all.

Objectives of this campaign
The strength and the immediacy of the response to the energy problem came from all over the world, has convinced us of the need to spread and give the greatest possible visibility to the projects presented.
The printing of a catalog, which collects all the projects selected among the thousands of those received (more than 500 designers from all over the world), will allow us to convey the message through social diffusion capillary channels such as libraries, bookstores, museums, events.

The catalog appears therefore as a means of raising awareness, consultation and interaction.
Especially with regard to the video section where you can view the contributions from smartphones, PCs and tablets, through a QR CODE system.
