Encore Academy, a Title 1 Charter School in New Orleans, founded a Model United Nations Team. 15 dedicated students have been working tirelessly since the fall learning diplomatic procedures, engaging in debates on current events, and developing their voice of change.
We hope that in the Spring of 2017 our team will be able to attend the Global Classroom International Model United Nations Middle School Conference in New York City. While there, our passionate students will have the opportunity to hone their public speaking and debate skills as well as visit the United Nations Headquarters. In addition, our team will be able to meet over 1,500 students from around the world who share their desire to resolve real-world problems.
