Ena`s Medical Fund

As you may or may not have heard, Ena O’Brien ( Box player, Feis musician, Mother, Grandmother and Galwegian) underwent Emergency Lifesaving Surgery while in Boston in April 2018. After a difficult operation and trying to recover from this ordeal, she found out that her insurance coverage at work does not cover out of country medical expenses any longer and now has the financial burden of paying this medical expense.  The total cost of the surgery was $23,360 USD. She submitted an appeal to the hospital in the hope of some reprieve and between the hospital and Ontario`s health plan the bill was reduced to $13,516 USD (approximately $17,500 Canadian). I am asking you for a donation to help defray these massive costs as Ena was, and is, always the first to offer her services when somebody else is in need.
