We are a non-profit organization in Colombia using 3D printing to provide free, personalized prosthetic limbs. The prototypes are ready and the recipients are waiting, but we need your help!
What we do
Colombia has around 20,000 people who have undergone limb amputations due to land mine explosions and other accidents. Our work isn’t just about helping people to regain their independence, it’s about boosting self-confidence and helping people to reintegrate into society.
Until now, we have been able to work with people missing any part of their arm from the elbow down. In most instances however, we have been limited to working with children due to the size of our printers. We now want to start producing legs as well as arms for adults.
Collaborating with local doctors, students and engineers, we are able to produce quality prosthetics in just 2 weeks. We work with our recipients to personalize designs, whether that’s to look like a Disney princess, to show off their football team’s colours or just to have a subtle design that matches their skin tone.
What this crowdfunding will support
We are launching this campaign to raise the money required to buy a large format printer and materials which will allow us to print full size legs of an appropriate strength. The money will also pay our operational costs for 2018, allowing us to continue our work. Your donations of whatever size will help us to radically change the lives of people like those featured in the above videos and countless others.

¡Ayuda a e-NABLE Medellín a brindar prótesis de miembro inferior gratis a los que necesiten!
Somos una Corporación sin ánimo de lucro en Colombia que utiliza la impresión 3D para proveer prótesis personalizadas y gratis. Los prototipos están listos y los beneficiarios están esperando, ¡pero necesitamos su ayuda!
Lo que hacemos
En Colombia alrededor de 20,000 personas han sufrido amputaciones de extremidades debido a minas antipersona y otros accidentes. Nuestro trabajo no solo se basa en ayudar a la gente a recuperar su independencia, se trata de aumentar la autoconfianza y la reintegración en la sociedad.
Hasta ahora, hemos brindado apoyo a personas que carecen de su miembro superior en un nivel del codo hacia abajo en cualquier circunstancia. Sin embargo, hemos estado limitados a trabajar solo con niños debido al tamaño de nuestras impresoras. Ahora queremos empezar a producir piernas en adición a brazos para adultos.
En colaboración de médicos, estudiantes e ingenieros, producimos prótesis de alta calidad en solo dos semanas. Trabajamos con nuestros beneficiarios para personalizar los diseños, ya sea desde una princesa de Disney, mostrar su lealtad por un equipo de fútbol, o algo más sencillo por ejemplo el mismo tono de su piel.

Empecemos esta campaña para recaudar el dinero necesario para comprar una impresora de formato grande y materiales que nos permitan imprimir piernas de un tamaño y una fuerza adecuada.
