Emma's Surgery Fund

Donation protected
We adopted Emma from a rescue group, Pet Promise, in Jan of 2017.  We think she's a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua and Daschund). She was a few months old. Since that time we've been helping her get healthy. She's had endless bladder stones issues and urinary infections. We finally went to a specialist who did an ultrasound and realized that she had a congenital liver shunt. So it's an extra blood vessel that is taking blood from her intestines and bypassing her liver. So toxic blood is going into her blood stream. That's what is causing all of her issues. She is having a CT scan to see where the blood vessel is taking the blood so that they know where to clamp it. The clamp will slowly close the shunt and force all the blood to go through her liver. Then they'll also remove her latest bladder stone. Her liver is about half the normal size due to the shunt. As a result of this we've spent over $8,000 dollars with tests and this surgery. We're asking for any help to assist with her medical bills. Thanks for reading her story and please keep her in your thoughts.
