Emily Roberts Cancer Fighting Fund

First off, thank you for visiting the page!

This page  has been created to support this lovely lady, Emily Roberts.
She is my best and dearest friend, my other half.



In the last month, Em found out she has stage 4 metastatic lung cancer.
It is a non-smoking related lung cancer and just so completely out of the blue.
The cancer has spread to her entire ribcage, her clavicle, her scapulae, her right hip and her spine.
Doctors are constantly surprised as they have not seen a patient this young with this cancer.
During diagnosis her doctor told her she has a life expectancy of about 2 years.

She will begin chemotherapy January 4, 2017.

We hope with treatment, combined with a healthy diet and support from those around her she can beat this.

Her MRI and CAT scans can cost up to about $14k together.
In my research, standard daily care and hospital visits, excluding treatment, are estimated at $2,500/month.
Treatment alone could be an estimated $300k over time.

This has all come on so fast for all of us, especially Em. Her daily routine, her lifestyle, her quality of life have changed so much.


She is keeping high spirits and staying stubborn and strong like the good ol' Em we know and love!!

I know we all just want to do anything we can to help her.
Though I cannot donate a large sum, small amounts will add up to make a real difference in her treatment.
Depending how fundraising goes, the ultimate goal would be $300k!
I know that is a lot.
Unfortunately, even that will not cover everything.

But, why not reach for the sky here friends!
Every dollar makes a difference!

Even if you cannot contribute toward her medical fund, that does not mean your support does not mean anything!
If you have a message of encouragement, of hope, of experience, of memories, of jokes, of memories of jokes, I know kind words would mean just as much to her!

Em is the kind of person who will care for an injured stranger like her family.
If you are hurting in any way she will be there for you.
I have witnessed this multiple times.
More than once she has helped a stranger who has fainted. She carried them to a safe place and got them water. She would ask them questions or make them laugh.


If we can just be there for her like she has been there for us, then this campaign will be a success!!
