The reason we are starting this page is because Emily was supposed to start a job Thursday at, Yankee Candle. Neither her, nor her husband have an income right now until his disability from the Army kicks in. Jon just spent the last 6 yrs of his life in the US Army! Still they will need help with medical bills and such. I talked with them and thought it may be a good idea right now to get some help this way, from family and friends.
This all started with a cough and her losing weight while we lived in Texas, which we assumed was from her working her new job, which was very physical. We left Texas May 26th and we drove from Fort Hood to Massachusetts, almost 2000 miles. None of us knew Emily was so sick. It took us 4 days  to get back home.  Since she has been home, her cough got worse and she developed a huge lump on her neck, she finally couldnt take the pain and  asked to go to the ER. We spent the whole day with testing and most came back as  Lymphoma, they were not sure whether it was Hodgkins or Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  After numerous Cat scans and Xrays , lab work, they were able to tell that Emily had an enormous amount of fluid around her lungs and her heart. They also noticed a 14 mm mass in the center of her chest and some on each side of her neck.  The best scenario was for her to have Hodgkins Lymphoma, it has a great survival rate and is relatively quick at recovery. None the less Emily is a 25 yr old young girl and I am still shocked that my daughter has cancer.
That day I watched her take needle, after needle, to remove the fluid from her around her lung and they ended up draining almost 800 cc from her lungs. An IV bag holds 1200cc , so you can imagine how much was in there. That was the day I knew she was a strong cookie and she was going to make it through this crap!! Today is day 3, she had a surgery today in which they took out a golf ball sized lymph node from her neck. The doctor told me that she had them going all down her throat and into her chest, after the surgery.  She did great though. She was eating and drinking afterwards. A few hours later she was watching a thunder storm with her family in the waiting room of the hospital .She has amazing spirit and the only thing she is worried about is her dang bills!  This is where yall come in . Shes not worried about losing her hair or any of that. Just her bills. Bless her heart!
Now  we play the waiting game on which path we will take for recovery. I will keep everyone updated on her progression. Thank you so much for your donation or just for sharing because, sharing is helping too. Maybe you dont have the monetary means to help but someone you know may so please please share either way!!!! These funds will be directly deposited into Jon and Emily's bank account. Thank you again from,  Mom (Roxanne) Dad, (Kipp), Jon & Emily <3

Good Morning, Emily started her third cycle of chemo yesterday and it went well. It was one of the hardest things I had to do was, Not be there with her, but I started a new job on Monday. She is doing well and not as tired as the last session Thank God.
She is having her PET scan next Thursday, I am asking for prayers for the cancer to be gone!!!!!!! Please, dear Lord, make it go away. I have faith that it will be smaller, if not gone!! I am asking every soul I know to do the same for her. Thank you for your continued support for Emily!! The results of the PET scan will determine the next moves for her!! Love you so much Em <3

Hey, Y'all, its been a little bit since I have updated, things have been a little crazy but we try to make things as normal as possible for Emily. She has finished her second session of chemo on Monday the 6th and has four more to go. A session is one round every 15 days, so twice a month. Emily will be going through chemotherapy until December. She will not be able to work until well after that. I am hoping to get some more donations for her and Jon to keep them going with their bills and just to do normal things. We really appreciate the help and hope you will continue to share her story and her page so that others may help them. Thank you so very much!
This photo was taken Monday during her chemo, This session really wiped her out!! She slept through the whole thing and then went home and slept more than 12 hours straight! We have a little something going on Friday that I set up for her and I am hoping she is feeling good for it. Keep an eye on my photography page!! Thanks again for your continued support for Emily and Jon!!! <3

Hey Yall, Emily started her second session of chemo yesterday. She also had a scan of her lungs and other tests. They are stopping the B part of her chemo because it is too much for her lung which is still not functioning correctly. Please say a few prayers for this chemo to work for her. She is extremely tired which is the norm for her for about a week or so after chemo. She continues to be strong through all of this! I am hoping to get her a few more donations for her to get her through another month or two while she is doing chemo. Please share as well because even if you can't help monetarily one of your family or friends may be able to. Thank you so very much for all of the continued prayers, donations and well wishes for Em <3 Thank you Photo taken before chemo 7/18 <3

Hey, Yall I figured I'd give an update as to how Emmy is doing today. We have finally got a routine down for how she feels before, during and after chemo. She has about 4-5 decent days every 15 days. Not many huh? Poor kid. She is extremely tired after doing anything but is still all about pushing herself and keeping that beautiful smile on her face. She went on her first hike today, to Mt. Tom, since her diagnosis and surgery. Mt. Tom has many areas that are doable for her so it was good for her to get some fresh air and exercise, WTG Em. Mostly she is just tired now from chemo treatments, hopefully, this continues to be the only real issues she has, after everything she went thru in the beginning, she doesn't need any more now. Fingers crossed!
I would like to thank Emmy's new donors from the bottom of our hearts for helping her and Jonathan to continue to just concentrate on her getting well. Please, please share her page so that others may help them out as well!! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts <3 Here is a shot of Em today, rocking her new bandana and looking so cute <3 Love you Em <3
