Emergency Relief for Sri Lanka

Update (21/05/19): We have begun distributing money to those affected, with each victim we help I post an update, explaining who the money is for and what the money is being used for. We have also met the Archbishop of Sri Lanka and his team is also providing us information on victims who require monetary assistance. This fundraiser will be closed off on 24/05/19. However, updates will continually be posted as we distribute the money. Thank you to everyone for donating and spreading the word!

Dear family and friends, I have decided to raise money for the several families affected by the nonsensical and tragic acts of certain cowards in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. The death toll and the numbers injured are still on the rise which is heartbreaking, and so it means we need to all work together to raise as much as we can!

Working with family and friends in Sri Lanka, I am going to locate families who will be in dire need of financial assistance as many have lost the breadwinner of their family. The money will be delivered directly to each family and my aim is to help as many families as possible, hence the target for this campaign will keep on rising. So please donate as much as you can, even the smallest amount will go a great distance in Sri Lanka. (The current rate is £1=226.79 rupees as of 22/04/19) 

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with amazing people who truly depend on tourism, so please do continue supporting us by visiting our magical island! Let’s remain united and not allow the actions of a few extremists divide us. Neither should we allow the spreading of fake news and rumours because that is exactly what the extremists desire. 

Dispersal of Funds
I will be working with members at Nawaloka Hospital, Nation Lanka Finance, Nawaloka College of Higher Studies and the Catholic  Church, to gather information and locate the families in need of assistance. 

100% of all donations will go directly to the families affected with the exception of any GoFundMe fees and currency exchange fees. I will do my utmost to keep this at a minimum, so that every penny raised reaches those who need it the most.
