Emerald City Initiative (Veterans Refuge)

We are building a veteran/patriot retreat/refuge.
The idea is to give Veterans a place to restart their lives no matter what stage they are in for those that are in need that way.
We are trying to create a community where we can teach old and learn new skills, as far as building and operating the community/refuge, whether it be agriculture, animal husbandry, construction or a craft like wood working, metal, rock or clay etc. Even trades like mechanics, electronics, or communications will be needed.
We want to provide an environment for those that just have a need for association with others with similar experiences and backgrounds that are compelled to help those in need.
We have a large plot of land and are currently building a wood mill to make timber and lumber from the trees in order to build cabins, workshops, green houses, animal cages and barns. We are also going to be building a shooting range and are looking to put in a few ponds and a lake eventually. Building alternative energy and fuel resources will be one area of focus. The whole thing is that its all out effort to build the community together, a place to belong, with people that accept and respect you for who you are and what you are going through as a hero trying to cope with the world we live in.
We have done a lot of work on the property already and it never stops. There is always something else that needs to be done. Once we get the Mill workshop built and running, it will be a lot easier to build the next set of buildings. This is where a major portion of the money we raise will go. Building the workshop and the housing/cabins are the main reasons we have started this gofundme account.
We need help building this paradise/refuge and I cant think of more honorable group of guys than my fellow veterans to be the benefactors of this effort. If we can make life better for them while we build this community together, nothing would make me happier. I believe this to be a part of my life’s mission and give all the glory to God for the opportunity to do it. Please join us in this effort.
We already have several Veterans that have a need for this to happen, they need a place to live, we could help them and they could help us build the refuge, if we have the money to facilitate the effort. Please donate or at least spread this campaign to others so that we can get the word out. Thank you!
