CA LATINO LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE VETERAN FELLOWS  SUPPORT HONOR, COURAGE & SACRIFICE MAY 1 - 31, 2015 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN - California is home to the largest number of veterans in the nation with 1.9 million, Latino/Latina veterans are 290,000 and the largest veteran ethnic group.

The CA Latino Leadership Institute Veterans Leadership Academy Fellows (501 c 3 FEIN # 47-1243514), working with the California Department of Veterans Affairs, Mexican American Veterans Memorial Committee, are raising funds for the Sacramento El Soldado Monument Beautification Project.

The El Soldado Monument is currently the ONLY monument honoring Latino veterans in the nation located on state capitol grounds.   Since 1954 when WWII Latino veteran moms, wives, sisters and girlfriends sold tamales and menudo to raise funds to create the El Soldado Monument; to now in 2015 with your donation today to refurbish the original memorial.

Latino/Latina veteran honor, courage and sacrifice will continue to be recognized with pride as part of the El Soldado Monument and the many contributions made to this nation’s rich history of military service.
