Ellie’s ESFA fundraising

I have been given a fantastic opportunity this season to represent my country in the English Schools U15s football squad. I have already had a brilliant experience training in Holland and will be flying out to Spain on Easter Sunday to compete in the Bob Doherty tournament against the home nations. 


I have worked incredibly hard for this opportunity. I started playing football for Ilchester fc competing in the boys league at 9 years old, before joining Yeovil Town Ladies youth squad and Ilminster girls. I trialled 3 times for Somerset ACC before finally earning my place and I have gone from strength to strength. This season I have also played for Somerset Schools U16 squad who made it to the semi finals of the National Cup. However, representing my country has by far been my biggest achievement. 


I am incredibly grateful to the ESFA who have given me a season I will never forget! I have been tasked with raising £250 to enable more girls to have the fantastic experiences I have had. Girls football is growing dramatically and any donations would help to ensure the ESFA continue to make female footballers dreams come true!
