Dear loving family and friends,
Our liver transplant "poster girl" has been hit hard and is facing disabling symptoms and syndromes resulting from immunosuppressant drugs.
It's been a rough year for Ellen with many health challenges. She is currently navigating the need to be on oxygen 24 hrs a day and quite possibly facing the need to give up her independent lifestyle and to seek assisted living care but for now is going to try and manage with the help of in home assisted care.
We're collectively raising funds to help meet her current needs of in home help . There is also an immediate need for a state-of-the-art portable oxygen machine that will allow her to be able and feel secure leaving her apartment for her needed doctors appointments and simple visits to the park near her home. She is also in need of extensive dental procedures to assist her with eating and maintaining health.
Ellen's environment needs to be kept especially clean, dust and mold free.
We'd like to be able to purchase an air filter for her apartment as well as a Continual Clean cat litter box.
Ideally we'll be able to provide her with an ongoing cleaning service which will help create a healthy living situation that will be more easily maintained.
Ellen will be facing on going needs that will require financial help. Currently we have set a goal to help her navigate the most pressing short term needs.

If able to visit in person consider bringing her a healthy meal and possibly an additional meal for the freezer that she can enjoy later. Her meal requirements are Kosher or vegetarian.
