Senior England Lax Tour - Australia

I have been playing lacrosse since I was 11 years old and made it into England’s U19 set up when I was 15 years old.  For 3 years, I played on the U19 circuit and competed in the annual Home Internationals between England, Scotland and Wales.  At the age of 18, I was selected to represent England's U19 team at the 2011 World Championships in Hannover, Germany. I then went on the Senior England Development Squad where I was co-captain for 2 years. In 2014, I moved up into the Senior England Performance Squad where I obtained my first Senior Cap at the annual Senior Home Internationals. I am currently part of the Performance squad working towards the 2017 Rathbones World Championships, held at Surrey Sports Park, Guildford. 

Excitingly I have recently been selected as one of 8 defenders from a total of 29 players to represent Team England on tour to Australia in preparations for the World Championships. We will be spending a total of two and a half weeks from 29th May participating in the Australian State Championships in Melbourne before playing New Zealand and then the Australian National Team in a three-match series. This tour is going to be significant team learning opportunity as we continue to prepare for the 2017 World Championship and will be pivotal in helping our team's development, both on and off the field. 

Although it is an absolute privilege to represent my country, Lacrosse is an amateur sport and therefore all self-funded, even at International level! This tour will cost £3000 and I am hoping to raise £2000 of that through this campaign. Any form of contributions, large or small would be greatly appreciated as this tour is a fantastic opportunity for me to play some tough, top level lacrosse and show my coaches that I should be one of the defenders they take to the 2017 World Championships.
