For Alex

Here in Hollingdean/Fiveways Brighton we are lucky. Amongst the built up hilly streets, a supportive, community exists, assembled and jostling around the local schools, one of these being Hertford Infants.
Alex is one of Hertford Infants beloved Teaching Assistants. I do not use the description'beloved' lightly. Alex is a person who leaves a gentle mark on all who meet her, children and parents alike, due to her kindness, creativity and naturally inclusive nature.

In December 2017 Alex found out she has bowel cancer, this week our community has been informed that she now is in the final few weeks of her life, and this campaign needs to act swiftly.

Alex will have to say goodbye to her own family and four children. They, along with our community will have to lose a beautiful person far too soon. She has cared for and nutured every child that has passed through her life at Hertford, and to say that she will be missed does not really begin to touch upon how I know people will feel.

As parents, children and fellow colleagues we wish to  try and show Alex and her family just how much she means to everyone in our community. We want to bring some comfort to her children that their mum is so loved and recognised for so many special things that she brings in life and love.

Please donate urgently in order to help us present Alex with the funds to help her family build a future together, with holidays, with activites and with experiences. Alex would always help our children experience artistic persuits; showing the way for Hertford in the Brighton Fringe Children's Parade with her wonderful artistic skills. She gave so much to our families, we wish to be able to give to hers.
