I retired from the NHS last year after 37yrs as a nurse and manager.
I started as a volunteer with the RSPCA on Newcut Lane in August and loved it.
I am now working for them two days a week on a temporary contact to cover maternity leave.
The staff are wonderful, kind, compassionate, comitted and very skilled.
The centre is totally reliant on charitable funds, there are no regular funds from the national RSPCA.
I want to do my little bit
