Grissom GreenPower!

Hello, we are the first official Greenpower team at Grissom High School, in Huntsville, Alabama! With one race completed and four more scheduled for this spring, we are in need of funding to improve our program and have many opportunities for advertising.
Greenpower is an engineering program, that exists to get young adults interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers. Throughout this competition, students globally will come together and design, build, and race team car.
Our first race was this fall at Jemison High School, and also had teams from China, and Scotland. Our Huntsville crowds were very enthusiastic, and into the race! After putting together our car in less than two weeks, we were able to overcome minor problems, as well as finish in good time. This spring will be very busy for us, as we are preparing to race at James Clemens High School, Barber Motorsports Park, and Indianapolis Speedway.
