To Ghana I Go!
Donation protected
Hello Everyone!
My name is Katie and I am a first grade teacher in Alabama. I absolutley love my job and feel so grateful that I was called to be a teacher.
It has always been my dream to travel and give back in any way I could. I have been blessed with an opportunity to travel to Ghana, Tamale July 2nd through the 23rd.
I will be a part of a team from a company called Limited Resource Teacher Training (LRTT) . LRTT is a Global Teacher movement working to make quality education a reality for all! This trip will be a 3 week long professional development programme that brings together teachers from economically developed countries to train teachers from countries where people live on less than $5 a day.
I will travel with a team of qualified teachers to spread, knowledge, skills, and resources that we take for granted! I will also be able to spread love and really work towards making a difference in these babies lives. My passion is education and children , and I am so excited to be a part of something bigger than myself. I hope to not only teach and inspire, but be inspired and learn so much about myself and to widen my perspective on life!
The trip itself is $1,600.
An estimate for my plane ticket is around $3,000.
I will also be purchasing school supplies for Ghana students. (pencils, erasers, crayons, etc.)
I want to thank anyone and everyone who donates from the bottom of my heart! This means the world to me and is for such a good cause. Education is so important to our future. We really are shaping the Nations youth!
Thank you so much!
God Bless!
