Educating Bakka

Tax deductible
What does it take to change a life?  The belief that it is possible, the commitment to make it happen - and the help of generous hearts and hands.  What does it take to change a village?  The vision to see that it is possible - and even more generous hearts and compassionate hands to help make that promise a life-giving reality.  In the Luganda language, Kisoboka means “IT IS POSSIBLE”!

                                                                                                            Accomplishments
Education: In 2008, there were no children attending the 6th or 7th grade at the school because they had all dropped out.  In 2010, we had our first  three 7th grade graduates!  Today we are supporting 150 students in High School and 3 college students from Bakka, making them far and away the most educated persons in a village where the average education is 4th grade!

Water: Without access to clean water, the people in Bakka had no choice but to obtain their water from mud puddles or sources from which animals grazed.  Kisoboka has provided 8 wells, granting access to clean water to the entire village of Bakka and other neighboring villages, significantly reducing cases of typoid in the area.

Medical: Kisoboka provides access to free medical care for the children attending school, as well as their families for the elimintination of malaria death, worms, jiggers, and lice.
