This is the story of Eduardo Tafoya .
On June 25 2015 Eduardo suffered an accident . He was an electrician and was electrocuted . He went without oxygen for 30 min, but arrived to the hospital alive. He was pronounced " brain dead ". The reason why his brain suffered severe damage is because he was alone for so long which he wasn't suppose to be and which also brings to question if the company he worked for had provided him with the proper equipment . I don't know the name of the company but I'd like to share that they also didn't give him and money for the incident . And his so called freind/coworkers haven't bothered to visit since.. Can you imagine . ? He was only 19... had his whole life ahead of him.. Eduardo family were in a predicament of whether or not to disconnect their son/ brother from a machine that made the difference between the words '"death" and" life". Doctors would try to pressure Eduardo's family in disconnecting him due to the fact that he would stay in a vegetative state if he ever woke up. In some cases they would get mad and frustrated with them for not wanting to disconnect their son.
Although Eduardo was basically seen as "dead" by the doctors his family decided to hold on to that 25 % possibility that he would survive. And so the unimaginable happened. .
Eduardo opened his eyes. But unfortunately thats all he could do. His family happy as ever took that over his death but let me just tell you that this Young man has suffered the unthinkable. Just as we see bad cops , there are also bad doctors and nurses who just don't care. I don't mean to shame anyone, i mean how could i i was not there to experience but man have i seen the pictures to prove it. . From wanting to convince their family to disconnect him too leaving him without his front teeth . . Front teeth you ask?? well there was a circumstance in which Eduardo's teeth were being brushed and the brush got stuck in his mouth. You would think doctors would numb the mouth area to try and remove the brush since he refused to open his mouth. Instead they yank it out shifting some of his teeth and taking the front two teeth with them. Yup... you read it right..
Besides that there were other incidents that i don't have much information on therefore i can't speak of them . But what I'm trying to do is express part of the pain someone so young has experienced. Eduardo was attending Richland college before his accident. He had plans to get an education to help better himself . He had just graduated from an english course... was doing great things.
After his accident he was placed in a nursery home. His sister of age 24 has completely dedicated her life to caring for him since the accident. She hardly ever leaves the nursery home unless its to attend mass or run small errands. She has a small bed in his room where her and her mother sleep every night. They never leave him alone and are always making sure he is ok. Thanks to the love that they have given him, Eduardo has managed to do a couple of things that he was told he would never be able to do. He opens his eyes, reacts to pain, cries which shows he has emotion and sometimes moves his feet and hands. We are sure he can do more with the proper help. That is why i seek help from everyone on social media. Below you will see pictures of him before and after the accident along with a video of him crying. He cries usually at night which is what proves he knows and is conscious of where he is . It breaks my heart seeing him in pain. But i would just like to show you what he is going through. And i did get family permission to post these pictures. In the video you can see the front teeth missing after that accident i previously stated. I pray God touches your hearts and we make Goal of recovery for Eduardo.
I have started a gofundme page for Eduardo. I set the goal based on an estimate. He needs money to be seen by doctors who can do something about his condition and enough money to provide the therapies needed. The goal may drop or rise once he's completely examined by a doctor . We think this is what he needs, he has not had any exams since the accident in 2015. He has shown a bit of recovery but don't know how much more he is now capable of since everytime he gets sick all they do is check for a heart beat and prescribe medicine. We have faith that he survived that accident for a reason. And we have faith that with all the right help he can one day speak for himself again and share his story. God has bigger plans for him . All he needs is the resources to afford treatment and lots and lots of prayers.

Le llaman “estado vegetativo persistente” o "estado comatoso persistente" a una condición clínica en que la persona no da ningún signo evidente de consciencia de sí o del ambiente, y parece incapaz de interactuar con los demás o de reaccionar a estímulos adecuados.
Estado vegetativo, eso fue el ultimo pronostico de Eduardo Tafoya.
Eduardo Tafoya es un joven de 22 anos , el tubo una accidente en el trabajo el dia 25 de junio del ano 2015 .
Eduardo tenia 19 anos en ese momento, el apenas se avia establecido en estados unidos y estaba estudiando en Richland college en Dallas, TX. Eduardo estaba luchando para superarse en un futuro. La accidente sucedio en Mesquite, TX en una clinica de analisis mientras cambiaba unas luces de el edificio.
El ahora esta postrado en una cama dado al caso de que fue diagnosticado a quedar en estado vegtativo.
Eduardo a sufrido todo tipo de trato inumanitario de parte de doctores . Doctores querian que la familia desconectara a Eduardo despues de aver sido diagnosticado “BRAIN DEAD” . Dijieron que el moriria fuera lo que fuera. La familia decidio no desconectarlo, y entonces el governio lo establecio en una nursery home. ya que la compania para cual trabajaba nunca respondio por ningun gasto.
Eduardo ahora puede abrir sus ojos, destiende sus manos y reacciona cuando le duele algo. Tiene reacciones emocionales como llorar. Aveces trata de mover su boca si alguien le habla. Doctores dijieron que 75% de su cerebro estaba muerto a cause de que estubo sin oxigeno por 30 minutos y que jamas se recuperaria. Pero poco a poco el pronostico se a probado incorrecto.
Aun despues de estas racciones los Doctores no le hacen estudios desde el dia de su accidente. Dicen que la aseguranza no cubre los gastos.
Por eso es que pedimos su ayuda , para que a Eduardo le hagan los examenes necesarios y pueda recibir el tratamiento necesario para recuperarse.
