"The Soap Myth"
, one of the most acclaimed and important plays about the Holocaust, stars the legendary ED ASNER.  At a time when bigotry and antisemitism is on the rise like never before, Holocaust awareness and education is more important than ever.

WE ARE LOOKING TO CROWD-FUND A NEW YORK PRODUCTION OF THIS POWERFUL AND DEEPLY MOVING PLAY

"The Soap Myth" explores the friendship between a young Jewish journalist and a cantankerous Holocaust survivor on a crusade to have the atrocity of "soap" included in Holocaust museums -- Did the Nazis make soap from the corpses of murdered Jews?  The play grapples with the pernicious scourge of antisemitism masquerading as Holocaust denial.  The play asks such provocative questions as Who has the right to write history and How does a survivor survive surviving.

A "concert reading" of "The Soap Myth" has toured the country the last several years with Mr. Asner  ferocious portrayal of Holocaust survivor Milton Saltzman which has been called the crowning achievement of his illustrious career.  His co-stars have included Emmy Award and Tony Award honoree Tovah Feldshuh and Tony Award honoree Johanna Day.

Michael Berenbaum, Project Director of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and one of the world's foremost Holocaust scholars writes:
"As the scholar specifically named in Jeff Cohen's play "The Soap Myth," I recognize in each of the characters people that I have encountered in my professional career from passionate survivors to stodgy Museum officials, from naïve and innocent reporters to pernicious Holocaust deniers. The play portrays them all powerfully."

In January, 2019, the PBS program "METROFOCUS" aired an extraordinary segment about "The Soap Myth" with stars Ed Asner and Tovah Feldshuh.  Please go to this link: https://www.thirteen.org/metrofocus/2019/01/international-holocaust-remembrance-day/
