Recuperación de Ecuador

Donation protected

As many of you have heard, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador’s Pacific coast on Saturday. Since then, the death toll has reached nearly 500. 1,700 people are still missing and over 2,500 people were hurt. In addition to all of that, many families have lost their homes and all of their belongings.

My family is from Ecuador and while we were safe, we know and love people who were not so fortunate. With your help, we plan to purchase supplies for the people affected by this tragedy. The people of these communities have welcomed me into their country and made me feel so at home during my time here. Every cent raised will go toward buying as many supplies as possible: water, food, blankets and medicine. Whatever is purchased will be distributed by the locals of Montañita to Canoa, Cuenca and other surrounding areas that need the most immediate relief. Because I am living in Montañita, I have very close relationships with people whose families and friends have been directly harmed by the quake. Our efforts through this fundraiser will directly reach as many as 40 families who have lost homes and loved ones.

We are purchasing supplies this weekend (April 24th) and I will make sure that every single donation counts.

Above all, I ask for your continued prayer for this country and its people as they continue through this difficult time.

Thank you all!
