Our team at Wiser Water consists of seniors at Bentley University working with Polymer Engineering students at the University of Massachusetts. We are collaborating to develop revolutionary sustainable products that will end the growing issue of plastic pollution.
Plastic only breaks down into micro-plastics and takes hundreds if not thousands of years to do so. This sugar cane material is compostable in a little under 3 months (as seen above) and biodegradable in a landfill after 2-3 years!
The Wiser Bottle™ is one of the first biodegradable compostable water bottles in the U.S. and is made possible by patented technologies in the processing of sugar extraction from mainly sugar cane and other plant combinations (Non-GMO material).
Bio-plastics are materials with characteristics that are similar to those of traditional plastics, but instead being of plant origin. They are sometimes (but not always) biodegradable compostable like the Wiser Bottle™.
The Wiser Bottle™ is the new generation of optimized bottles that will have a reduced impact on the environment with significant benefits throughout the production, consumption, and disposal cycle.
The Wiser Bottle™ is manufactured with materials complying with the EN13432 standard for biodegradability and compostability and can be recovered as bio-waste at the end of its life.
The Wiser Bottle™ should be composted in an industrial composter and should not be disposed of in the wild..
