THIRD QUAKE NOW .. a few hours ago ..  huge building Earthquake just drops flat  .. people are really scared ..... our teams are tired, exhausted but strong and they thank everyone for the supporting friendship, and funding support big or small  We will keep updates on Lombok Forgotten Children Activity,

SECOND EARTHQUAKE hit last night   .. Lombok Forgotten Children founder Endri's home in Mataram is flattened .. the below video is not pleasant, but shows the reality of what our foundation boys (and girls) are facing and the work they are doing .. a lot of deaths and damage this time .. 7.1 quake damage is now everywhere eg  .. and our new Tanjung Foundation building also hit but very repairable .. good time to be generous if you can .. team are tired .. our hospital vans need fuel .. teams phones need power paks .. coordination just stepped up another level & true damage is just unfolding ...
When the going gets tough, the tough get going .. so we need our volunteer teams strong  .. we need fuel for our hospital vans which have been moving tons of Food and Aid around, (a lot of food is being donated from hotels) also many new needs are arising like  simple phone battery pacs to stop phones going flat, a couple of small tablets for coordinating lists of needs  ..  team are doing really good but super tired.

WHAT ARE WE FUNDING FOR?   WHO DO WE AIM TO HELP?
Our focus is always towards the most vulnerable and those that cannot help themselves:
Lombok Forgotten Children Founder Endri just messaged me "we are having Earthquakes - need help bad mate"  :(     ... below are situation photos of our shaken volunteers from this morning, showing the suffering around them and the great things they are doing to help in Earthquake Lombok.           

Our Lombok Forgotten Children EF home Foundation bases are in the middle of where Lombok Earthquake was  centred,  we have 50 to 100 active LFC EF volunteers here - they are poor people but passionate. 

This is our Foundation home territory,  Endri knows every village, and village leader, govt here so we have the right man to coordinate our team in the places of need where Govt, Army, Police etc may not. 

Along with Endri's tasks, he is also importantly  Red Cross (Red Crescent) CEO for North Lombok Region so they have lots going on.  

There will be lots of normal people helping normal people .. but there are those who are not so lucky who maybe elderly, with out family and friends around them, single mums, and disabled and sick also - people who dont have the ability or connections to help themselves

Govt Aid etc to Lombok  will going hard out over the next few weeks while it is fresh and on the news, but earthquake & disaster experts & their experiences are telling us tells that after this period a lot of the people who cant help themselves may get into a lot of difficulty. 

The problems will continue for months ahead, so the team will have a 3 month goal -  keeping the suffering of those that cannot help themselves as small as possible, many live 'cash less lives' - they will need a few dollars or some food aid, maybe bandages and medicines or assistance with plastic covers or help to build basic shelters.  - (your dollars will not going to people who have money and ability to help themselves) 

 

 

 Lombok Earthquake Measured 6.4, No Potential Tsunami Until 09.20 WIB, BMKG monitoring result showed 66 aftershocks with Magnitude M = 5.7 at 09.16 WI
