Keeping Legacy Alive 4 Earth Angels

We are reaching out to all of you, on behalf of Earth Angels Holistic Health Center’s new endeavor. Earth Angels is moving to a more spacious building, just “a stone's throw away” from the current Cleveland (Tremont) location. The new location will be in a former church that sits vacant. It is an opportunity to reclaim a piece of the area’s history, and also to use the sacred space for an actual sanctuary of light, love, personal and spiritual growth. Most of all, an opportunity to grow together, in their mother’s honor, while helping to heal one another and the community.
In 1996, Aimee' was in college working towards a degree in Psychology when everything in her family’s life changed. Her mother Sandra was diagnosed with non- Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Sandra decided with that news, that she should open a family business, a tea- room. She wanted a vision to strive for, a focus outside of surviving this disease. Her daughters couldn't say no! So in the summer of 1997, Sandra and her daughters, Aimee' and Salli, opened the Crystal Rose Tea room and Heavenly Hardware gift shop. As they say, the rest is history! They opened in a deteriorating area of southeast Cleveland, created a merchant association and block club groups. They gave respite, for brief moments to lost souls, searching for an oasis. Along with a cup of tea or an herbal tisane, they offered Reiki, massage, and spiritual counseling. These services and more continue. Most importantly, Sandra beat the cancer! She thrived for 16 more years as they transformed lives, together, as a family. They grew, added new members to their business family, and moved to a newer space they've called home in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, for the past 6 years. When Sandra passed away on September 6, 2013, they felt that they had to carry on her legacy, and take their passion for Sandra's mission to an even higher level. So, when a serendipitous opportunity arrived in fall of 2014, they decided to take a leap of faith…With a little help from their friends, they are thrilled to announce that they are expanding in 2015.
So, with the blessings of Earth Angels, we are holding this fundraiser to help them clean, renovate, and create the space, ensuring that it is conducive for a beautiful center, from top to bottom. Earth Angels also hopes to develop a health and wellness incentive partnering with MetroHealth medical center, their new neighbors. Donated funds will be used towards the following professionally calculated costs:
Cleaning products: $50
Moving cost: $125
Framing Material: $300 (2”x4”x10”)
Dry Wall: $600
Sound proofing: $600
Painting supplies: $1,000
Screws: $100
Outlets & lights: $200
Wires: $500
Doors: $300
Labor/contractor/installation: $1,500
Earth Angels currently offers a complimentary Reiki treatment to chronically ill patients. An example of this is a free Reiki session to someone dealing with the effects of chemotherapy or radiation.They also wish to expand this by offering service hours to local victims of domestic violence, rape, and chronic homelessness. Time will be donated for healing sessions, to help move some of our most vulnerable and at-risk community members beyond their current life circumstances. The building will house a space to hold yoga classes, meditation classes, fitness and nutrition seminars, and a boutique featuring holistic products primarily produced by local artisans. Once the space is renovated and open, it will also be used to provide a location for local practitioners as a place to conduct and develop their own business.
YOUR donation will help pay for the necessary renovations to make this a reality, but it will also be potentially helping change lives. We were given permission to ask for, and collect funding through this medium only.
***100% of the funding will be used for this purpose. This is a love offering that will be used to benefit their expansion efforts, the local community, and a higher purpose at large!
