Heroes of Hearing
Thousands of people here in Tucson are struggling with their hearing. While may are able to afford hearing devices to better their quality of life there are many, many more for whom these devices are out of their financial reach. Ears for Tucson was created as a way to help those individuals who don’t have the means personally, and don’t qualify for outside assistance, acquire hearing devices and improve their quality of life. Hearing loss negatively affects personal relationships, job performance, and if left untreated can lead to decreased brain function [when parts of the brain are not stimulated due to hearing loss they atrophy which leads to dementia]. In order to help as many people as possible live their best lives, Ears of Tucson donates 100% of all funds raised to the purchase of hearing devices for those who otherwise would not be able to afford them.

Heroes of Hearing has donated over $22,000 in goods and services to the people of Tucson in 2018 and with your help they can continue their quest to better hearing.

Please donate what you can to help Tucson hear again.

Hearing loss is a silent killer of relationships and has been directly linked to the development of Dementia. While many people would never dream of ignoring their vision or dental health, their hearing is often placed on the back burner because “people need to enunciate!”, or “people need to look at me when their talking to me!” What society doesn’t realize is that a hearing loss of any kind affects all aspects of our lives; the process is often so gradual we just don’t notice it!

The Holidays are upon us and this is the time of year when family and friends get together to share in the joy of the year and each other. Image what your holiday season would be like with no sound. Though some of you maybe saying, "I can do that? Sign me up!" others struggling to hear and understand tend to withdraw from the group and isolate themselves. Living with hearing loss is hard, but wanting to connect with others and can't do to hearing loss is even harder. Help those struggling with hearing loss and the financial means to get treatment. Your donation may be small, but it has the greatest impact on those that can now get hearing aids and hear.

Happy Holidays!
