What is a better bang for our buck then 10 CENTS A VOTER??? Until we have confidence that we won't get hacked, we want to do what we can with paper ballots. In NJ, we have early voting by Vote By Mail where registered voters can vote early by paper ballots.
We also know that early voting makes a difference for Democratic candidates. Just look at the recent PA18 race with Conor Lamb. We also want to make it convenient for Democratic voters to vote so that they do not have to worry about childcare or taking off work to go vote on election day.
From the Brennan Center, research shows that the key benefits of early in person voting are:
1. Reduced stress on the voting system on Election Day resulting in less voter frustration.
2. Shorter lines on Election Day. “Early voters are happy voters, and Election Day voters
are grumpy voters.”
3. Improved poll worker performance (extended voting period allows poll workers to gain experience thereby reducing errors).
4. Early identification and correction of registration errors and voting system glitches; and
5. Greater access to voting and increased voter satisfaction (convenience and flexibility).
We have the volunteers on the ground. We need money to print 2 volunteer guides, Voter Tracker sheets, Bank the Blue oversized cards to leave with the voter so that they can track the process. This is a volunteer-intensive voter outreach. Each volunteer follows the 3-step process to ensure that voters' votes are counted.
1 - Vote By Mail application filled and mailed.
2- Paper Ballot received by voter and mailed.
3- Ballot received by the state/Board of Elections and counted.
All labor has been generously donated and our volunteers will be door knocking to get this done. This is our first batch and we will gauge the success of it and report back to donors.

Breakdown on costs:
20,000 voter cards - $1110
950 double-sides volunteer guides and 2850 Voter Tracker sheets - $387
Shipping $375 voter cards
Subtotal $1872
Excess of $128 will be used for gofundme's cut and shipping out of these kits to volunteers.
If we are fortunate enough to collect more than our goal of $2000, we will use that to pay for clipboards, 9x11 envelopes, and postage that volunteers will need to mail back to us. Any excess goes to voter education.
